O’s Notes: The music swings and Carrie’s voice soars above it on the opener “You’d Be So Nice To Come Hone To”. They follow up with “Lullaby of Birdland” which introduces Mikole E. Kaar on clarinet and pianist Joe Azarello who share the melody with Landsgaard. Carrie’s voice is packed with expression. She is easy to listen to especially on Southern blues like “Bad Dream Baby” and “At Last” complimented by Kaar on sax.
