O’s Notes: This is the debut recording form Vanessa Racci. She has a beautiful contralto voice (in both English and Italian) that is complemented by a fine band.“Italiana Fresca“is a collection of music from the Italian American songbooks. Racci is big on traditions and extends some of her heritage to a wide contemporary audience. Paul Marinaro joins her in a fine take of “Buono Sera”. Other highlights are “Italian Love Medley” and “Return To Me”.
