O’s Notes: This one pops and sizzles from start to finish. Bassist Bromberg anchors a band, which includes strong musicians. Freddie Hubbard (t) and Ernie Watts (sax) light it up repeatedly. Of course Bromberg adds accents and solos on his bass that are delicious especially on “Buddah Belly”. This is an upbeat and energetic session that will please straight ahead fans as well as sophisticated fusion lovers.
