O’s Notes: Mike Wofford is a veteran jazz pianist who accompanied many jazz legends. Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn are a couple of many. But on It’s Personal Mike graces the keys alone. We get to hear him play standards and several originals, all with a very efficient approach. While Wofford doesn’t overdress the melodies with fluff, his arrangements are vibrant and energizing. He gets two thumbs up from us!
