O’s Notes: Slowly Rolling Camera is a band that has been rising on the European jazz scene since 2013. Composer Dave Stapleton (keyboards), drummer Elliot Bennett and producer Deri Roberts (electronic sound design) are the trio. They have evolved to focus on instrumentals and“Juniper“is their latest release. We enjoyed the funky rhythms especially on “Helsinki” and “Hyperloop” featuring guest guitarist Stuart McCallum. It is a cool, spacey mix that is rather enticing!
