O’s Notes: Trinom3 is an organ trio featuring John Van Tongreen (B3, p), Mike Clinco (g) and Kendall Kay (d). Van Tongeren composed nine of the eleven selections. The music ranges from the funky vibe of “Jag” to the eeriness of “Daub and Wattle” and their cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir”. We also liked the impact of guest artists Danny Pelfrey (sax) on “Feedin’ The Meter”, Walt Fowler (flugelhorn) on “Truth Be Told” and Bob Sheppard (t-sax) & Fowler (t) on “Slice”.“Just A Bit Further“places this LA-based band in the thick of the mix!
