O’s Notes: This session features two seasoned pros, bassist Ron Carter with leader Houston Person on sax. They share an admiration for each other and a long friendship that comes through in their performance. Instrumental tone is excellent for both of them and the music would serve well as background for a dinner; it’s easy to enjoy and unobtrusive as well. Among the best are “Meditation” and “Lover Man”. This simple pairing has a lot of heart.
