O’s Notes: Irene sings with confidence on this live session. It took place at The Catamaran Hotel in San Diego, California during 1975. She’s out in front of Mike Wofford (p), Bob Magnussin (b) and Tony Marillo (d). She died from cancer in August 1978 but not before fulfilling many of her musical ambitions. She was a purist always seeking perfection not only with the music but also with her listeners! This set of 13 songs, previously unreleased, gives us a glimpse of the beauty in her voice.
