O’s Notes: The late pianist Larry Willis leads a trio with bassist Bob Crenshaw and drummer Kenny Washington, on Just In Time, originally released in 1989. It is a head bobber from the opening title track but also includes ballads like “Soul Search” and sizzlers like our favorites “Te Quiero Mi Hermano” and “One Finger Snap”. Steeplechase re-released this recording honoring Willis and it is remarkably fresh 27 years later!
