O’s Notes: KROM is the self-titled sophomore release by the trio that includes Raviv Markovitz (b), Jason Burger (d) and leader Adam Kromelow (p). These guys embellish pace very well shining on instrumental ballads like “The Better Story”, a few fusion tunes and some pop/rock. Their unguided approach yields good results on “Trust Your Instincts” and “Monster Bite”. KROM is fresh in New York City bringing their blend of rock and jazz to an appreciative audience.
