O’s Notes: Linda Calise has soft warm tones and a great deal of expression. She’s not afraid to explore the extremes of her range and delivers a rich performance. The supporting orchestra with strings amplifies the effort. My Life is a collection of ten classic songs that resonated with Calise. It’s all about romance staring with “Good Morning Heartache” moving to “They Can’t Take That Away From Me” and including two takes on “La Vie En Rose”. Linda’s interpretations are indeed personal and convincing whether she sings in French or English.
