O’s Notes: These ladies, not just any ladies, but some of the best balladeers on the scene today, sing a series of spectacular songs. Among the divas are Kirsten Gustafson, Oleta Adams, Diane Schuur and Rebecca Paris. It is the late Frank Mantooth’s (p) date as an arranger of this large ensemble including strings. He elected to engage 12 twelve female vocalists to sing their favorite ballad with hi orchestration. It’s a great idea and well executed with spectacular music and voices!
