O’s Notes: Regina took some time (several years) away from the studios but she’s back with a level of intensity that is at least equal to her peak as an R&B diva. Her sound is matured now as her song selection includes more jazz and a sophisticated approach. Highlights include “Lazy Afternoon”, Jobim’s “Corcovado” and “If I Ruled The World”. The production and arrangement comes from George Duke who has done an excellent job. Duke also contributes on keyboards; Everette Harp provides support on sax and Lori, Sharon & Darlene Perry add background vocals, most notably on “For The Love of You”. This is a sure winner!
