O’s Notes: Pianist Craig Larson extends the Legacy of music in his family employing his son Matt (b) with guitarist Ron Eschete to form a swinging trio. Craig’s dad was also a musician and he recalls days around the radio as a child singing popular tunes with the family. That is the spirit of this session, a collection of eleven classics that are simply good listening. They all have that toe-tapping character and jovial feeling. Among the best are “Smile”, “Night Train” and “How Deep Is The Ocean”, just a few of the gems on this CD.
