O’s Notes: Nina’s raspy vocals have a tremendous amount of expression. She sings all types of music but shines on blues where she can entertain and engage the audience. This is a live recording of a concert she performed in Montreal during July 1980. She sings songs with a message, sometimes too hot for the masses to deal with like “Mississippi Goddam” and “See Line Woman”. For sure she’s exciting and this is a good example of her work.
