O’s Notes: London is a versatile singer, at home singing many styles and making them her own. She opens Let’s Fly soaring on “Out of this World”, swinging with the jovial title track and then soothing us with the bossa nova beats of “This Happy Madness”. We get a taste of the blues on Ellington’s “Sound of Love” before Amy intermingles her voice with the music amidst a strong solo by Roni Ben-Hur on “How Deep is the Ocean?” and again on “You And The Night And The Music”. Santi Debriano (b), Steve Kroon (perc) and Richard Wyands (p) are among the talented supporting cast in this wonderful set.
