O’s Notes: Elaine made this album in the likeness of George Shearing quintets from the 1950s; all had a featured vocalist. The format is excellent for showcasing the vocalist as well as providing strong instrumentation. Lucia has a long history with her rhythm section and the addition of arranger Gerry Grosz (vibes) and Randy Vincent (g) make things pop. She has a gentle youthful voice that marries well with “Daddy”, “All Dressed Up” and “In The Night”. Let’s Live Again!
