O’s Notes: This is a live session featuring leader Skip Heller (g), Chris Spies (organ) and David White (d). They have a mellow blues fusion groove going with Skip rolling the melodies together with Spies on the B3. The lazy beats like “Dave Alvin” relax the audience. These guys are well suited as a ‘club band’. It’s all instrumental culminating with the slow intensity of ‘President “Guitar” Watson’.
