O’s Notes: Guitarist Yamandu Costa pairs with world-renowned mandolinist Hamilton de Holanda for a live session in Sao Paulo during January 2008. They are very complementary as if joined at the hip. Ten of eleven tracks are originals by either or both musicians. The intensity level varies with the tempo of the tune but both musicians are fleet with their fingers on burners as well as ballads. The precision and articulation make the melodies sing! Highlights are many including the dynamic “Chamamé”, “Samba do Véio” and “Samba For Rapha”.
