O’s Notes: This collection of nine songs captures Soft Machine in two live concerts in Austria and Germany during October 2009. They perform nine originals, some very good rock-fusion led by guitarist John Etheridge especially on “in the Back Room” and “Soft of Aeolus”. Theo Travis takes the lead on sax alone and in concert with Etheridge on “Gesolreut”. Roy Babbington (b) and John Marshall (d) anchor the low end and they satisfy their audience.
