O’s Notes: The Innocence of Spring, Live at Hinton Hall“is a duo concert featuring pianist Michael Jerry Stevens with saxophonist Don Aliquo. Hinton Hall is at Middle Tennessee State University and there was a respective, appreciative audience in attendance. Stevens work on piano is exemplary as he paints a glorious landscape for Aliquo to experiment on. The result is an experience that ranges from peaceful to explosive. We enjoyed it on multiple listening sessions.
