O’s Notes: Colin Stranahan (Denver) plays drums with pianist Glenn Zaleski (Boylston, MA) and bassist Rick Rosato (Montreal) forming a very cohesive, polished unit. The trio was established in 2010 and has two prior, highly acclaimed albums with numerous performances together. They ventured off separately in 2014 before coming together for this session,“Live at Jazz Standard“over 2 days in August 2018. It’s one of our favorite venues in New York paired with Blue Smoke restaurant upstairs. When these cats are playing, we’d suggest eating before or after so you can focus on the show. The evolution of the musicians and their music is appreciable!
