O’s Notes: This is pure enthusiastic jazz vocal magic! Right from the opener “‘Deed I Do”, René establishes her presence and wakes up the audience at The Jazz Standard in NY. She’s playing with a trio: John Toomey (p), Elias Bailey (b) and T. Howard Curtis, III (d). Among the ten tunes are “Nature Boy”, “A Foggy Day” and “Bolero/Suzanne”. This is Marie’s third release in the MAXJAZZ Vocal Series and she’s as vibrant as ever. She puts 110% of herself into the performance!
