O’s Notes: Bobby evolved from singing popular music to adult contemporary. This was a live performance in Las Vegas during 1971. Darin is an enthusiastic singer with a strong country, folk influence. His versions of “Mack The Knife” and “Beyond The Sea” put him right there as a jazz crooner. He also touches soul with his encore medley including “Chain Of Fools”. But this is really an inspirational session with songs like “Higher and Higher” and a cool Beatles medley. It is enjoyable over 30 years later, today.
