O’s Notes: This is a peaceful duet featuring pianist Roger Kellaway and Eddie Daniels on clarinet. They take us through ten swinging selections. The program is a mix of six classics with three songs by Kellaway and one from Daniels. There is a playful spirit on the fleeting cover of Monk’s “Rhythm-a-ning” with both musicians dancing across the melodies. That was the dominant mood of the set, a relaxing encounter.
