O’s Notes: The band is a trio with drummer Mimi Mured, bassist Simba Distis, and leader, keyboardist Sam Ross. They perform Live at the Mira Room, and the audience lets us know what’s happening with their generous feedback and jovial applause. The program opens with the swinging “Breakfast For Dinner”, followed by the blues of “New Shoes” with the bassist working overtime. This is a great jam session, five energetic songs!
