O’s Notes: Guitarist Bryan Lee is all about blues, pure New Orleans, Louisiana blues! He’s got quite a few stories to tell and he gets it done. The stage lights are blue with lots of shadows but the cameraman catches all of the action with some decent close-ups. This concert is filmed in Montreal in October 2003. They played 14 numbers including “Smoking Woman”, “Blues On My Mind” and “Six String Therapy”. We must acknowledge the strong performance from pianist Bruce Katz, especially on “That Ain’t Right”. The rest of the band is also rock solid: Craig Panosh (d), Jonathan Limjuco (b) and Brent Johnson (g) but the center of action is Bryan Lee and his Gibson flying vee guitar. This is prime time New Orleans blues.
