O’s Notes: Bill’s vocals are peaceful and soothing and he takes us through eighteen classic tunes. He sings with emotion that personalizes each tune. He is crooning in front of a large ensemble orchestrated by George Small. Daugherty has lived and breathed music all of his life and he enjoys his collection of over 20,000 recordings. Both his dad Rich (p) and uncle Bob (b) appear on this set. One of his idols, singer Margaret Whiting sings with him on “A Fine Romance” capping his debut recording. This album places Bill among the best male balladeers on today’s scene and we’re sure to hear more from him in the future.
