O’s Notes: Francine is a Toronto-based jazz vocalist, composer and entertainer. Love Is Here is her debut recording. The program is composed of sixteen originals and classic love songs performed in a soft swing mode. There are also elements of blues and mild Latin. Both the music and the lyrics are happy. They band compliments the efforts swinging on “Feeling Too Good Today Blues” and with crisp solos, as on “My Love is Gonna Pull You In”. Hailman is not flashy but relaxed in her approach. Her signature is polished and graceful.
