O’s Notes: Jungr pays homage to the King, Elvis singing thirteen of the songs he made popular. She uses a minimalist approach with little instrumentation, generally a piano or a cello sometimes with a few strings. This allows the beauty of her voice to resonate with the associated memories on “Kentucky Rain”, “Heartbreak Hotel” and “Love Me Tender” to name a few of the best. The new arrangements and Barb’s vocals bring a different light of the songs of Presley, one that is fresh and unique.
