O’s Notes: Anat plays bass clarinet and tenor sax leading a quartet with pianist Jason Lindner, bassist Joe Martin and Daniel Freedman on drums. There are several special guests notably guitarist Romero Lubambo and percussionist Gilmar Gomes. The groove is Modern jazz with strong Afro Latin flavors. Anat shows a ton of versatility with warmth on “Ima” and a spirited attack on “Espinha De Bachalhau”. We also liked “Lilia”, “Bachião”, “In The Spirit of Baden” and “Cais” in a strong, vibrant set.
