O’s Notes: We truly enjoyed Magic 101 (5/4) and Wess is back with Magic 201! For the second set Frank brings back pianist Kenny Barron and drummer Winard Harper and enlists bassist Rufus Reid and guitarist Russell Malone. The sounds are ever so sweet led by Frank’s warm, gentle sax and flute. This is a laid back, relaxing collection of lullabies, blues and slow cookers.
