O’s Notes: Luss has a deep warm voice that grows on you. She sings 14 covers arranged mostly by pianist John di Martino. Pamela’s past two Savant recordings have included strong musicians and this is no exception. Houston Person (ts), Richie Goods & George Mraz (b) and Victor Lewis (d) are among the well polished band members. Pamela skips the theatrics but includes all of the passion the tunes require. Highlights are “I Wonder Where Our Love Has Gone”, “Imagine”, “No, Not Much” with guest vocalist Freddy Cole and “Day By Day”. These are as the title suggests, magnetic!
