O’s Notes: The trio is Bucky Pizzarelli (g), John Bunch (p) and Jay Leonhart (b) celebrating some of Ellington and Strayhorn’s works. It’s very well recorded and nicely arranged to rekindle these classics. Among our favorites are the lesser known “All Too Soon” and “Don’t Get Around Much Anymore” where Bucky and John trade leads with Jay walking a steady rhythm.
