O’s Notes: This is drivin’ down the road music, it makes you want to get up. We weren’t familiar with Monaco but we are happy to have made the acquaintance. Tony, on the Hammond B3, has the respect of his peers including legends, Jimmy Smith & Dr. Lonnie Smith. His nickname, “Master Chops T”, based on technique and soulful feeling, is well deserved. Derek DiCenzo does nice work on guitar as do Donny McCaslin (sax) and Kenny Rampton (t). This is just good down home music!
