O’s Notes: Vocalist Lorraine Feather collaborates with co-producer, guitarist Eddie Arkin for“Math Camp. Feather wrote the lyrics and Arkin composed the music. The theme is romance, a love affair that started in Math Camp one summer. The analytical analogies are plentiful that should appeal to techies in love. Supporting musicians are well healed including bassist James Genus, Fred Hersch (p), Grant Geissman (g) and Terri Lyne Carrington (d). The liner notes are comprehensive with lyrics as well as stories about the evolution of each of these originals wrapping up a solid set.
