O’s Notes: Blake (g) teams up with drummer Dennis Kohrherr recording a duet then dubs the bass line and percussion making 1+1=4! There is a subtle country blues feeling on “Norwegian Wood” that gives way to a lazy jazzy blues on “Things Ain’t What They Used To Be”. They take a more contemporary aim on “Harlem Nocturne” before giving us a taste of bossa nova with “Desafinado”. “Transfer Station at 3AM” is a cool cooker. Blake displays great technique on guitar and makes and entertaining CD with a little something for everybody.
