O’s Notes: Jimmy states that this album is personal, reflecting his musical journey over the past 8 years. There is a lot of emotion, sometimes rage on “Trials” contrasted with the warm passion on “In Nelba’s Eyes” and “Ana Grace”. Greene selected band members who could share his passion and they do a fine job, especially guitarist Lage Lund on the first two tracks. Guest vibraphonist Stefon Harris adds brightness to “Revelation” which also includes a strong contribution from Eric Harland (d). Jimmy is feeling it of “YeahYouRight” one of the best of the set. Greene wrote and produced all of the music except the finalé “Give Thanks”.
