O’s Notes: Cava plays piano and Nick coaxes sweet tones from his trumpet to lead the melodies on eight warm ballads. Jeff Chambers (b) and Jaz Sawyer (d) anchor the rhythm section. The songs are familiar but the fresh arrangements, relaxed pace and soft touch imparted by the leaders makes this a standout recording.
