O’s Notes: Julie’s voice is soulfully smooth and the harmonies are rich and warm on songs like “Venusian”. She sings over a festive Caribbean rhythm for some of the tracks with the balance being R&B. “Wave” featuring Alex Lattimore (vocals, flugel horn) is a fine example of the former. “Sea And Sky” and “Promises” are as refreshing as a cool summer breeze. There are 3 remixes included that add a dose of funk for those so inclined. We found ourselves trying to sing along as we were encapsulated by their groove.
