O’s Notes: You’ve probably heard of Jeff before, most probably as a Flecktone with Bela Fleck. He’s a master on sax, flute and clarinet. Fellow band members include Rob McGaha (t), violinist Tracy Silverman and fellow Flecktone, Futureman (tb). Coffin takes the music across the globe with influences from Eastern Europe, India, Africa and American Jazz. He’s immersed in the music, all self-written, bold and creative, from ballads to bebop.
