O’s Notes: This is a great soundtrack and also an excellent opportunity to sample some of best cuts from the stable of Basin Street Records musicians. You get rockin’ pop from newcomer Theresa Anderson (vocals and violin), cool blues from Henry Butler (p) and some back woods blues from Dr. Michael White (cl) with vocals from Thais Clark. Los Hombres Calientes provide the Latin twist, New Orleans jazz trumpet comes from Kermit Ruffins and Jon Cleary (g) plays funky blues with soulfully harmonized vocals. There is also a nice dose of Romance from Irvin Mayfield (t) If you don’t know these guys, this is a great way to become acquainted. Don’t miss the current jazz explosion emanating from New Orleans!
