O’s Notes: Paul van Wageningen (d) and his brother Mark (b) have put together a masterful recording called Muziek. They combine mostly originals with well-placed covers to make an album that has a lot of variety and can stay in your changer for the entire year! They open with “Simone” a funky tune that reminded us of Spyro Gyra. They follow with a Latin-based arrangement of “Milestones”. “Moon Over Gate” is an original that has a Marcus Miller feel to it. Claudia Villeta joins them to sing the refreshing “Benito”. They get really funky on “You Guys Done Yet”, one that makes you want to dance! The band is tight as the Dutch Brothers hit us from every angle. Excellent!
