O’s Notes: Freddy is in his late 80s and still maintains an active touring and recording schedule!“My Mood Is You“is his latest endeavor including great support from pianist John di Martino, drummer Quentin Baxter, guitarist Randy Napoleon and bassist Elias Bailey. Joel Frahm is the guest saxophonist here and he mirrors Freddy as well as David Newman has on previous releases. By now it seems like Freddy has recorded the entire American songbooks but fans will never tire of his renderings.
