O’s Notes: Amanda enjoys singing and it is transcended through her delivery. The emotions are clearly stated through inflection and dynamics, the defining points of true jazz singers. Check out “Rough Ridin’” with nice back-up on sax from Al Wold and “Round Midnight” as well as her duet with Rick Kilburn on “Bye Bye Blackbird”. There is excellent support from her core trio Craig Scott (d), Chris Sigerson (p) and Ken Lister (b).
