O’s Notes: Barbara composed these compositions in a variety of styles over several years. The band is a quartet with Larry Baione (g), bassist John Lockwood and Rick Kress (d). The session starts out with a soft ballad “For Joe” but they quickly get into more of a bop groove on “Friday at Four” then begin combining the two with mid-tempo swingers like “Fever Springs the Blues” with Barbara singing and playing the flute. Her voice is a soft as the notes from her flute. It’s a pleasant session originally released in 1996.
