O’s Notes: Michael places his tenor sax into a warm and peaceful collection of ballads. He invites an all-star cast to join him; Pat Metheny (g), Herbie Hancock (p), Jack DeJohnette (d) and Charlie Haden (b). Special guest, James Taylor adds two vocals notably “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight”. This is a strong mellow set with some old and some new songs. Highlights are “Midnight Mood”, “Incandescence” and “Sometimes I See”.
