O’s Notes: Third World Love is a quartet with Avishai Cohen (t), Omer Avital (b), Yonatan Avishai (p) and Daniel Freedman (d). The play with an underlying honky tonk beat that morphs into calypso and Latin during the session. Each of the players takes the spotlight from time to time and the unit fits together like a puzzle. We truly enjoyed “Sefarad” and “Song For Sankoum”
