O’s Notes: Michele Rosewoman is a pianist, singer, composer, arranger and creative genius for New Yor-Uba, a celebration of Cuban music in America. It is a rootsy 2-disc set that is rich with percussion and Afro-Cuban rhythms. We liked “Vamp For Ochun” best on the 2-disc set. The music of Cuba is not only alive; it is flourishing.
