O’s Notes: This music really swings. It is more than the mellow magic of Gary’s vibes. Vadim Neselovskyi (p), Julian Lage (g), James Williams (d) and Luques Curtis (b) all do a fine job adding contemporary flair to a sophisticated neobop session. These young musicians are Gary’s touring band as well. They all contributed to composing the music and like most good working bands, they meld together nicely.
